From the farm of Bravery !

John Martin's brewers have taken the know-how of 15th-century brewmasters and applied it to their own craft, to bring an authentic product to beer lovers the world over. However, when you visit the Mont-Saint-Jean microbrewery, don't be fooled by its rustic appearance. Behind the elegant copper vats lie highly sophisticated equipment. The Waterloo microbrewery boasts high-performance production facilities, enabling it to brew up to 10 hectolitres.

Its boiling vat features a variable bottom that can be adjusted according to the volume of the product being processed. This sophisticated equipment has all the advantages of large-scale facilities specialising in top-fermented beers.

Welcome to the Land of the Brave! The Mont-Saint-Jean farm, right in the heart of the Waterloo battlefield, and especially Edward, are very proud to present their Gin & Whisky!

Distilled from battlefield grain in the traditional way, our Waterloo beers will take you on a journey!

Brewery & Distellery tour

The tour begins at the Comptoir, where you will be welcomed before the tour begins. Then the visit will proceed as follows:

A tour through the farm courtyard: introduction, history of the site and context
A visit of the micro-brewery: the brewer will discuss the different stages of the brewing process and will gladly answer your questions
A visit of the micro-distillery: you will discover the way distillation methods are carried out and receive some explanations about our different spirits
Immersive show: you will first be given an immersive show retracing the history of the company. You will then go on to discover our cellar and taste our whisky (2 cl)
Tasting at the Beergarden: at the end of the show, you will return to the Beergarden to taste a mini-glass of Waterloo Saison Bio
